Forty Summers In: About SwimSchool
For over 40 years, SwimSchool has been the trusted brand for swim training. That is a lot of summers spent at the shallow end, and this page is the story of what we learned there.
Where we started
We started where every swimmer starts: on the top step, with water up to the knees and a parent close by. From the beginning, our idea was that children learn to swim best when they feel safe, supported and unhurried, and that the right gear should make that feeling easier to find.
The system
Out of that idea grew our Confidence Building System and its three Learn to Swim Levels: Start Swim Skills, Build Swim Skills and Refine Swim Skills. Baby floats open Level 1, tot trainers and swim trainer vests carry Level 2, and Level 3 is real strokes with less and less support, so parents always know what comes next.
Who makes it
SwimSchool is made by Aqua Leisure. Our company, Aqua-Leisure Recreation, is based at 525 Bodwell Street in Avon, Massachusetts. Alongside SwimSchool, the family includes Oceans 7 and Aqua life jackets, air pumps, pool toys and floats, all of which you will find in this catalog.
What we promise
Our slogan is Let's Teach Swimming Together, and we mean the last word. Our swim aids are designed to support your child through every stage, and to work alongside you, never instead of you. We will always be clear that swim trainers teach and that an adult within arm's reach protects.
