One family, several sizes of swimmer. Our Oceans 7 Type III vest is US Coast Guard approved and offered in infant, child and youth sizes that together cover 8 to 90 pounds.

  • US Coast Guard approved Type III personal flotation device for kids.
  • Sizes are labeled infant, child or youth, covering 8 to 90 pounds overall.
  • Three adjustable straps and open sides allow a comfortable, flexible fit.
  • Chest straps have been lengthened to suit a wider range of body sizes.
  • Durable nylon shell over thick EPE flotation foam for swimming and boating.

In the water with it

Each Oceans 7 jacket is labeled infant, child or youth according to weight range, so start with the scale. The youth size is for children weighing 50 to 90 pounds; if your child is under 45 pounds, try the child size instead. Actual comfort and fit will vary, and a fastened vest should never rise above the child's head.

The open-sided design uses three adjustable straps, and we lengthened the chest straps to widen the fit range. Durable nylon covers thick EPE flotation foam, which makes this personal flotation device a good choice as a swimming life jacket or for general boating. Buckle and tighten all three straps before anyone steps onto the boat or dock.
