In the water with it
Youth size is made for children who weigh between 50 and 90 pounds. Sizing goes by weight, and real-world comfort varies, so a child under 45 pounds should try the child size instead. Do the quick check every time: with all the straps fastened, the vest should not ride up over your child's head.
On the dock or the pool deck, slip it on, clip the three straps and tighten each one; the chest straps are longer now to suit a wider fit range. The nylon shell is durable and the EPE flotation foam is thick, which makes the jacket equally at home for swimming and for general boating trips.
