When a child says a vest feels scratchy, the lesson is over before it starts. We made the Neoprene Premium from ultra-soft neoprene fabric to fix exactly that, and finished it in a blue, black and green wave pattern.
This is the Medium/Large size, made for kids up to 50 pounds. The neoprene fabric is soft and comfortable, and it holds up well both in and out of the water. It also carries a UPF 50 rating to protect the upper body from the sun. Flexible foam pads are sewn in rather than added on, for a closer fit.
The vest goes on and comes off easily with a covered heavy-duty zipper, and the adjustable safety strap secures it without pinching. In the pool, the form-fit design is made specifically to promote the use of arms and legs for swim training and other water activities. Think of it as support for practice, with you standing close.
Level 2 starts with a sweater-fit tot trainer that goes on like a favorite top, then moves on to a swim trainer vest with Flex-Form foam and an adjustable safety strap. With that support around the chest, play turns into paddling without anyone calling it a lesson.
